A clean, sparkling pool requires clean, clear water. Pool filters remove debris and contaminants from the pool water by running it through the filtering system and trapping the unwanted materials. A Hayward filter cartridge offers a highly effective filtering process that allows for easier maintenance and lower risk for clogging and other complications that may occur with your filter. Hayward pool filter cartridges also operate with lower pressure than sand filters, placing lower backpressure on the overall system. This lower pressure enables greater flow through the filter which means faster turnover and more rapid cleaning. These cartridges will need to be cleaned at least once per season by hosing the debris off of the filter.
