While a brisk dip in cold water may be refreshing on the hottest of days, many pool owners prefer to keep their pools slightly warmer, particularly at the beginning and end of the season. Heating a pool ensures that the water remains comfortable for swimming in a wider range of weather conditions. Likewise, pool owners that live in warmer climates may find that their pools become too warm for a refreshing swim during the hottest times of the year. In this situation a pool cooling system helps to keep the water feeling fresh and cool.

For automatic heating and cooling systems the fluctuation is controlled by a temperature sensor. The Jandy temperature sensor will monitor the changes in the water temperature and trigger the system to either heat or cool the water as needed.
