Salt Systems

Many people are sensitive to the traditional methods of chlorinating pools. Directly adding chlorine to pool water often results in a strong chlorine smell as well as eye and skin sensitivities that are linked to low levels of free chlorine and increased levels of dangerous sanitation byproducts caused by interaction with pool contaminants. A salt system such as the Aquarite T-Cell 15 is a highly effective way to clean your pool and reduce risk of sensitivity or need to shock the pool due to contamination. Automatic pool cleaners use dissolved salt to produce the free chlorine needed to keep the pool clean on a continuous basis. It is important to remember that the T-cell 15 is not a non-chlorine sanitizing system. Rather, when you use an Aqua rite t-cell 15 as the sanitization solution for your pool you are utilizing a salt chlorine generator. This is achieved through a process referred to as electrolysis through which up to 500 pounds of salt is broken down into its components, thereby consistently introducing new free chlorine into the water. This process removes the irritating chloramines from the water with the same effectiveness as a traditionally oxidizer, but without the need for adding chlorine directly to the water.
